Methodology

How we pick creators

We look for creators who post consistently, teach something useful, and have an engaged audience — real conversations in the comments, not just big numbers. We check recent performance, not lifetime follower counts. Nobody pays to be included, and inclusion never depends on using or promoting any product. Stats come from official platform APIs or from the creator, and every number is dated. We review every list each quarter. Spot a mistake? Email corrections@topfluencers.co and we’ll fix it within 48 hours.

What we look at

  • Consistency. They’ve posted regularly over the last 90 days.
  • Usefulness. They teach something or help their audience decide something. Each list’s “How we picked” box adds the criteria for that niche.
  • Engagement quality. Real questions and conversations in the comments, not just emoji or bot replies.
  • Recent performance. Average views on their last 10 posts, judged against their size, rather than lifetime follower counts. Smaller creators who are doing great work belong on these lists too, which is why we title them “worth following” or “to watch” rather than “top”.

A person scores every candidate against these, and only the strongest make a list. Lists have 15 to 25 creators, so most of the candidates we research don’t make it. That says more about our list sizes than about them.

Who we never feature

  • Scams, or “get rich quick” promises
  • Hate or harassment
  • Fake giveaways
  • Signs of bought followers, like a big following with tiny views
  • Anything we wouldn’t be comfortable standing next to

Who writes the entries

Every entry is written by a person who watched the creator’s recent work, and names a real video or post and what it does well. If we can’t write a specific reason, the creator doesn’t go on the list. AI tools may help us draft, but no fact about a real person goes on the site until someone has checked it against the creator’s own content.

Where the numbers come from

  • YouTube: subscriber and view counts from the official YouTube Data API, refreshed or removed within 30 days.
  • Other platforms: numbers come from the creator, marked “self-reported”, or from the platform’s approved API. We don’t scrape Instagram, TikTok or any other platform.
  • Every number is shown with the date it was checked.

Order

Creators are listed alphabetically. Our lists aren’t rankings, and nothing (payment, product use or promotion) affects who is included or where.

Reviews, corrections and removals

We review every list each quarter and show the last-reviewed date at the top. Spot a mistake? Email corrections@topfluencers.co and we’ll fix it within 48 hours.

If you’re featured and would rather not be, use the remove-me form or reply “remove” to any email from us. We’ll take the entry down and stop contacting you within 48 hours.

Editorial policy

  1. No made-up statistics. Every number has a source and a date.
  2. No AI-written facts about real people. AI tools can help us draft, but a person checks every claim against the creator’s own content.
  3. No testimonials or results we can’t verify.
  4. We don’t rank, review or recommend software on Topfluencers.
  5. Corrections within 48 hours, and removal on request within 48 hours.
  6. Payment, product use or promotion never affects who is included or the order they appear in.
